In his work, ‘Sprituality!’, Rehman portrays the diversity, peace, and spirituality inherent in Muslim cultures providing an alternate lens to an often misrepresented peoples.

Parul, based in NYC , is a choreographer, dancer, and founder of the dance company that bears her name. In 2007, she was part of the “Mystical Journey” tour in honour of the golden jubilee of the Aga Khan, spiritual leader for Ismaeli Muslims. I photographed her interpretation of the traditional northern Indian “Kathak” dance at Place des Arts in Montreal – one of the most diverse and amazing shows I’ve ever seen.
