Muslims?!
This gallery is the online representation of my body of work entitled Muslims?! I have photographed Canadian Muslims engaged in the ordinary and not so ordinary activities that are part of their daily lives. This exhibition illustrates that any label can only at best define a small part of a person’s identity, and seeks to break down stereotypes held by both Muslims and non-Muslims about what it means to be a Canadian Muslim.

on April 29, 2012I love it!!! Author, Psychotherapist, DOG OWNER!!!! Points to how disparate we all are - gosh - even Muslims?!! (tongue firmly planted in cheek here) I love your gentle humour and gorgeous photography. I also heard you on Ontario Morning and made a note to check out your site. I would love to see captions on the other gallery pieces - though I imagine you might not remember the name of the guy with something white in his dreds ,who was geting married the day the children were splashing water. And, uh, a FIRE under the truck????? Story on that one has to be good!!
Great job of making a beautiful point - we share the common bond of our human-ness.
